At a Vestry holden for the Parish of Sego upon Tuesday Whitsen week May the 27 th 1702
Whereas there was lately the sum of twenty pounds sterling applotted upon the parishioners for the Bell and Belfry, which money for the better safety had been in the hands of John Campbell Clerk, Vicar of Sego and because money has been redirected to a lower value by a Proclamation lately issued forth by the Government, he the said John Campbell has lately paid the aforesaid money in specie ( in coins) as he received it to the present Churchwardens, and has taken a disc charge from them for the same; and whereas by a late Act of Vestry it was agreed that the same money should be applied for the providing of a Gallery in the west end of the Church, but being insufficient for that use, it is now further agreed by the Minister, Churchwardens and parishioners then present that the sum of thirty pounds sterling be equally applotted upon the parishioners and levied of them for completing the gallery aforesaid, making a new window in the west end and other public charges with all possible dispatch.
