a Vestry held in the Parish church of Seagoe on Easter Monday April
the 15
th
1723 held for the said Parish it was enacted, concluded and agreed
upon by the Minister, Churchwardens and Parishioners then present
that the sum of 13 – 8 – 6 be applotted and levied of the
Parishioners and landholders of the Parish which together with the
sum of 0 – 18 – 8½ now in the Churchwardens hands make the sum
of 14 – 7 – 2½ for the uses following (viz)
For

Bellman’s wages for this ensuing year .................................2 – 10 – 0
Articles and Charges of the Churchwardens and Sidesmen 1 – 00 – 0
Accidental charges for this ensuing year ..............................3 – 00 – 0
For Elements for the Communion of the Lord’s Supper .......1 – 10 – 0
For providing the Elements 12 times ....................................0 – 06 – 0
For washing the Surplice ........................................................0 – 7 – 6
For washing the table linen .....................................................0 – 2 – 0
For applotting the Cess ...........................................................0 – 2 – 0
For collecting the Cess .......................................................... 0 – 13 – 0
...............................................................................................13 – 8 – 6
And
that William Smurphet of Clanroll and Josias Gaddis of Kilvirgin are
chosen Churchwardens for this ensuing year and that James Fryer of
Knocknemuckly and John Bullock of Moyraverty are chosen Sidesmen for
the said year.
Overseers
of the highways are: John Gilpen continues for the Low Road; Simon
Hewitt of Ballynemony and Henry Dowey of Kinnego for Ballynemony
Constablewick; George Dillworth continues, Robert Blacker continues;
John Steenson of Derryadd and Laurance Heanon of Derremacash for the
Moyntagh Road; Owen McGra and Thomas Wollooks continues.
