1891-1892
Tuesday Dec’ 29, 1891-The body of Mrs Emma Elizabeth Saurin (aged 86 years) widow of the late Venerable Archdeacon James Saurin, formerly Rector of Seagoe, was interred today in the Vault under the Chancel. The tiling was lifted for this purpose, and the coffin was laid upon that of Archdeacon Saurin (interred in 1879). The coffin was borne into the Church and to the Vault by members of the Select Vestry. The following Clergy officiated: -Rev. A. Dawson, as the Rector; Rev-Rob’t Quirk Curate; Rev Augustus Fitzgerald D. D, Rector of Portadown; Rev. Lewis Richards D. D, Rector of Drumglass (Dungannon). This was the last interment in the Vault which was bricked up, and closed forever.
