The following reply to the Resolution of Sympathy an condolence of the Select Vestry on Oct 27, 1899 (in p 413) on the death of Mrs Dawson in July last.
“ My dear friends: on the behalf of my family and myself , I thank you very much for your most kind resolution of sympathy and condolence on the death of my beloved daughter, and your appreciation of her helpfulness in all matters connected with the wellbeing of the parish.
“ We have hardly known a time when her heart was not devoted to the Master’s service. And as she advanced from year to year, in grace and in the knowledge of her Lord Saviour, she loved to serve him in his church, with fervent quiet and most intensive / pity.
“ We have sorrowed of such as she, for the furtherance and joy of our faith , but , doubtless for her to depart and be with Christ is being far better.” This was her Lords choice for her; and even with aching hearts, we own that this is wiser and kinder for us also, until he reunites in forever in his kingdom and glory.
“With heartfelt thanks for your sympathy, and prayer for our Lord’s presence and support in our bereavement.
“Our Dear Friends,
Yours Very faithfully
Abraham Dawson
Dean of Dromore “
