A meeting of Select Vestry was held on 27 August 1902, when there were present, The Very Revd., the Dean of Dromore, in the Chair, Revd. Mr T Grey, Wilson Irwin, George Calvert, Thomas Stothers, James Albin, Joseph Monro and Mr R Atkinson.
The object of the meeting was to make arrangements for collecting the balances of the Second Curate’s salary, the sum being £15. All the Collectors of Sustentation Fund were summoned to attend, that they might be asked to undertake this collection, none however appeared except those who are also Vestrymen – As no other plan was suggested and on our assumption the collectors would act, the following notice was agreed to and that 300 copies be printed and distributed in the pews on Sunday 31 inst. – proposed by James Albin and seconded by Wilson Irwin – “Please take notice that all the Parishioners will be called on by the Collectors within the next fortnight for subscriptions to complete the fund for payment of second Curate. This collection will be for this year only.”
