19050908 8th September 1905 Select Vestry meeting

At a meeting of Select Vestry was held on 8 September 1905 when there were present Revd Jas E. Archer- int the chair- Revd John Taylor – Jas Albin – J.H. Stevenson – Robert Gracey – John Montgomery – Wilson Irwin – Atkinson Cassells – David Rock and W. R. Atkinson.

The business was in continuation of the last meeting in the connection with the Dean’s presentation – Mr Archer presented the draft of the Address he undertook to compose which was approved of.

It having been suggested that sickness of outside and inside of church should be inserted in the address Mr David Rock offered to have these be taken free of expense.

It was arranged that the presentation plate should be displayed in Mr J. G. Montgomery’s window in Portadown for a few days and liberty was given Mr J. D. Neill to show it in his window in Belfast.

The churchwardens were requested to make arrangement with suitable person to sleep in Rectory and take charge of it and the Rectory grounds and any property thereon after the Dean and family have vacated the place.
